Granville Island

We went to Granville Island recently to feel the Olympic atmosphere. There were so many exciting events and activities, and of course people.
Chloe was very involved with all the surroundings, including the babies, animals on land, water and in the air.
She tried very hard to walk on the wood. Keep a good balance, you go girl.

She took off on her own into the crowd many times. We had to really keep a close eye on her with the amount of people there. Everyone was so surprised when they saw her walking on her own. She often gave people a big smile too.

Watching the ducks and birds.

Are you trying to be a duck yourself?

Mommy, come over here and watch those ducks with me!!!

Walking in Those Shoes

Haha... isn't that funny? Chloe's finally mastered "the walk". This is a sign, when your child is able to walk in your shoes, it means they finally mastered the skill of walking. I was waiting for this day to come! :D
Have you noticed her hands? This is for balance and a sign of concentration.

She was running up and down in the hallway with those shoes on. What a fun game for her. Let me give her some high heels next time! One step at a time!!!

Christmas 2009

It was a cold and wet wintery day, Chloe went up to Grouse and saw the snow for the first time. She was a little quieter than normal with a little red nose, but overall she quite enjoy the snow.
I got her a new pair of Stride Rite runners, they are so cute and a lot cheaper in the states. Grandma Allison and grandpa John got Chloe a classic toy that every NZ baby has - the Buzzy Bee.

Chloe's opening her gifts on Christmas day. Took her forever because she was playing / wearing them as well.

Look at the joy on her face. She loves riding her little pony. Within couple of hours, she already mastered how to get on and off from it.

Chloe met Santa for the first time on Grouse mountain. She was not afraid of him, but when he said can I have a hug, Chloe went away with her head shaking. Poor Santa.

Chloe's dinner

Chloe's no longer happy with the food that's been fed to her. Even with the same food, it seems to be a lot better taste if she helped with it herself.

Look at the mess she made.

Every time after a dinner like this, we just take her to shower right away.

Best Toy - Grandma's kitchen towel

Ever since Chloe learned walking, we often found the kitchen towel gone missing. It becomes her best toy, whether she's wearing it, folding it or playing with it, she just finds it so much fun. Go figure why.
This one, she's trying to wrap it around her neck as a bib and use her shoulders to hold it so that it won't fall.

She is playing peek-a-boo with it.

Rolling all over on the floor with it.

Wearing it as a coat and kissing the monkey on the floor.

Look, she's really serious with this toy. Parents, why spend money buying kids expensive toys?

Now, she's wearing it as a hat on her head. Looks like a little Arab.
